How Spacetime Rifts work
- Opens: daily at 02:00, 05:00, 08:00, 11:00, 14:00, 17:00, 20:00, 23:00 server time — 8 times a day, every 3 hours
- Portal entry window: about 10 minutes (Asia players report entering ~5 minutes early)
- Time in the enemy zone: up to about 60 minutes (extendable with charge items)
- Unlocks at level 45 with the rift region quests

Aullaeu Village, Destroyed Abyss Gate, Forest of Exiles, Southern Altamia Highland, Verteron Fortress Ruins

Basfelt Ruins, Legion Base Ruins, Moslan Forest, Purifying Forest

When does the next Spacetime Rift open in AION 2?
On the Asia server (JST, UTC+9) rifts are reported to open 8 times a day, every 3 hours: 02:00, 05:00, 08:00, 11:00, 14:00, 17:00, 20:00, 23:00. NCSOFT has not published official Global times, so also watch the in-game announcement.
How long does the rift portal stay open?
About 10 minutes from each opening. Asia players report being able to enter about 5 minutes early. Once inside the enemy faction’s zone you can stay up to about 60 minutes.
Where do Spacetime Rifts spawn?
At a random candidate spot in Verteron (Elyos side, leads to Altgard) or Altgard (Asmodian side, leads to Verteron). A server-wide message announces it and the map shows the icon.
Can I avoid PvP in the rift?
Yes. Enter in PvE mode and enemy players cannot attack you. You cannot switch modes while in the enemy zone, and enemy guard NPCs will still attack.
What if the timer does not match my game?
Trust the in-game clock first. All times live in one config file and are corrected as soon as a change is confirmed.
